Our Missoula based company has taken great strides to create a product that is unique, a 100% cotton tee shirt that is not only designed by local artists, it is also hand dyed in Genuine Montana Mud. This is truly a "Made in Montana" product.

Hand Crafted Shirts- We hand dig (yes hand dig) the clay, work it in and then heat it until it sets. The iron oxide works as a natural dye.
Colors Available: (Yes you have a choice; there are different colors of dirt, here in the Mountains of Montana)
Original- (named this as it was the 1st color used and most popular) When dyed with original dirt, the end result is a terra cotta colored garment. Mud-Dye-(Yes we mud dye all of our shirts, however the Mud-Dye was my husband's
Ode to the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, you get the picture, and the shirts look really cool) When dyed in this manner the garments end up with a Tie-Dyed swirly look.

We dye our shirts in genuine Montana mud with no artificial additives. The iron oxide found in the hills of Montana gives the shirt a natural color. We hand dig the clay, work it in and heat the shirts so the mud sets. Now when you're hiking in Montana - you don't have to worry about getting your clothes dirty! We've already taken care of that for you!
